MÉLIES

"Tallers d’estiu" (summer workshops) are part of a creative, educational and play programme to awaken children's sensitivity, during the hot summer months, by way of various artistic disciplines. The concept is built on three points: dance, music and art, with the space and time for each to find their creativity and, in short, become more free.

It is an intensive 15-day summer workshop where each year the art is expressed through different disciplines to give the children breadth of vision and inner resources. This year we decided to form two groups of different ages to explore other rhythms. But the main idea is to have groups of mixed ages and discover diversity of thoughts and creativity, and to enrich their experience.

FILM, PHOTOGRAPHY, SCULPTURE, MUSIC AND DANCE.
AND ALSO ENGLISH AS ANOTHER LANGUAGE FOR COMMUNICATION.

A PROPOSAL FOR TWO GROUPS OF DIFFERENT AGES TO LOOK FOR DIFFERENT RHYTHMS WITHIN THE POWER TRIANGLE OF
ART, MUSIC AND MOVEMENT.
FOR THE YOUNG ONES: PHOTOGRAPHY AND SCULPTURE. FOR THE OLDER ONES: CINEMA

WE WANTED TO TAKE PICTURES AND TO DEVELOP WITH PIN-HOLE CAMERAS, SCULPT OUR SELF-PORTRAITS, CONTEMPLATE OUR HANDS AND INVOLVE THEM IN MOVEMENT. WE WANTED TO DRESS UP, WRITE A SCRIPT AND DISAPPEAR INTO
THE MAGICAL WORLD OF MÉLIÈS!
