Fa molts anys quan vaig decidir de fer disseny molta gent em deia per a què servia això, que era una cosa molt superficial; alguns dels meus amics volien ser advocats, altres economistes i altres pagesos. Vaig arribar a Barcelona i vaig tenir la sort de formar-me en una escola meravellosa que es deia EINA. Vaig aprendre a viure d’una altra manera i vaig aprendre que tot està relacionat; potser el més important d’EINA va ser entendre que tot ens conforma, que tot és important i que cada detall és fonamental; vaig aprendre a conceptualitzar cada pensament i a donar-li forma des d’un altre punt de vista.

Més endavant va començar a interessar-me l’educació i la seva relació amb la cultura: la creativitat en el model educatiu actual. Vaig fer molta recerca i vaig descobrir Maria Montessori. Aquesta dona increíble - que va ser la primera doctora “dona” a Itàlia va acabar fent una teoria antropològica i educactiva després de treballar amb nens discapacitats - va reformular les bases de l’aprenentatge i va descriure per primera vegada la “Polarització de l’Atenció” on explicava com els nens i nenes, l’objecte i l’entorn es fonien en una sola unitat. També va parlar de la bellesa, dels objectes i de que qualsevol suport que fan servir els nens i nenes ha de ser inspirador: TOT ERA IMPORTANT!


Aquesta idea em va semblar increíble venint del món de l’interiorisme i del disseny industrial perquè sempre havia viscut en decadència visual i formal a les escoles i em va fer reflexionar molt sobre la certesa de que l’entorn és fonamental, vital i indispensable!

Com hagués sigut la meva Educació si haguessim habitat espais bells?

Many years ago when I decided to do design many people told me what this was for, that it was a very superficial thing; some of my friends wanted to be lawyers, other economists and other peasants. I arrived in Barcelona and was lucky enough to be trained in a wonderful school called EINA. I learned to live differently and I learned that everything is related; perhaps the most important thing about EINA was to understand that everything shapes us, that everything is important and that every detail is fundamental; I learned to conceptualize every thought and to shape it from another point of view.

Later on, I became interested in education and its relationship with culture: creativity in the current educational model. I did a lot of research and discovered Maria Montessori. This incredible woman - who was the first "female" doctor in Italy ended up making an anthropological and educational theory after working with disabled children - reformulated the bases of learning and described for the first time the "Polarization of Attention" where she explained how children, the object and the environment were fused into a single unit. He also talked about beauty, objects and that any support children use has to be inspiring: IT WAS ALL IMPORTANT!


I found this idea incredible coming from the world of interior and industrial design because I had always lived in visual and formal decadence in schools and it made me think a lot about the certainty that the environment is fundamental, vital and indispensable!
