Cambio és una recerca en curs duta a terme per l’estudi de disseny Formafantasma sobre la indústria de la fusta i encarregada per la Galeria Serpentine de Londres.

Cambio, del llatí medieval cambium, significa "canvi, intercanvi".

Aquesta exposició multidisciplinària destaca el paper crucial que el disseny pot exercir en el nostre entorn, i la seva responsabilitat de mirar més enllà dels límits de les seves fronteres. El futur del disseny pot i ha d'intentar traduir la consciència ambiental emergent en una comprensió renovada de la filosofia i la política dels arbres que fomenti respostes informades i de col·laboració.

Cambio is an ongoing investigation conducted by Formafantasma into the governance of the timber industry, commissioned by the Serpentine Galleries.

Cambio, from the medieval Latin cambium, means ‘change, exchange’.

This multidisciplinary exhibition highlights the crucial role that design can play in our environment, and its responsibility to look beyond the edges of its borders. The future of design can and must attempt to translate emerging environmental awareness into a renewed understanding of the philosophy and politics of trees that will encourage informed, collaborative responses.
