Stezaker seria per a mi una de les millors maneres de posar imatge al concepte del Dadà. Mirar d’una altra manera sempre ha estat el gran concepte d’aquest projecte i quan veig les seves imatges un mar, què dic, un oceà de noves propostes m’invadeixen i m’ajuden a pensar en les múltiples possibilitats.
La seva grandiositat surrealista dona les pautes per imaginar altres mons possibles, un sense sentit que il·lustra de manera gràfica, detallada i màgica l’interior i les profunditats de l’ésser humà!
Asseguda entre el somni i la realitat em deleixo amb els seus talls, amb els seus continguts i el to de la seva tria.

John Stezaker és un artista conceptual britànic contemporani conegut pels seus collages d'imatges trobades preses de postals, fotogrames de pel·lícules i fotografies comercials. L'obra de Stezaker s'assembla als primers collages surrealistes i dadaistes realitzats per artistes com Kurt Schwitters, Hannah Höch i Man Ray. En la sèrie de collages Marriage (2006), els retrats juxtaposats d'estrelles de cinema clàssiques creen personatges recentment formats però encara desarticulats, la qual cosa obliga l'espectador a canviar el seu marc de referència.
Nascut el 1949 a Worcester (el Regne Unit), Stezaker va assistir a la Slade School of Art de Londres. Va ser una gran influència per a artistes del YBA, com Tracey Emin i Damien Hirst. Les seves obres han estat exposades en el Museu d'Art Modern de Nova York, la Tate Modern de Londres i el Museu d'Art de Tel Aviv, entre altres.

Stezaker would be for me one of the best ways to give an image to the concept of Dada. To look in a different way has always been the great concept of this project and when I see his images a sea, I would say, an ocean of new proposals invade me and help me to think of the multiple possibilities.
Its surrealistic grandeur provides the guidelines to imagine other possible worlds, a meaninglessness that illustrates in a graphic, detailed and magical way the interior and the depths of the human being!
Sitting between dream and reality, I am delighted with his works, with his content and the touch of his work.

John Stezaker is a contemporary British Conceptual artist best known for his collages of found images taken from postcards, film stills, and commercial photographs. Stezaker’s work resembles early-Surrealist and Dada collages made by artists like Kurt Schwitters, Hannah Höch, and Man Ray. In the collage series Marriage (2006), juxtaposed portraits of classic film stars create newly formed but still disjointed characters—forcing the viewer to shift their frame of reference.
Born in 1949 in Worcester, United Kingdom, Stezaker attended the Slade School of Art in London. He was a major influence on YBA artists like Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst when they first emerged in the late 1980s. His works have been featured at The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Modern in London, and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, among others.
