En aquests temps que corren sentir algú que diu les veritats et fa sentir bé, positiu i, bàsicament, real. Les utopies ens ajuden a sobreviure però les realitats ens fan pensar les coses d’una altra manera i en fan ser millors. I quan escolto a aquest senyor tot allò important sembla que es posi en un sol lloc, que tots els pols s’atreguin i que l’energia que desprèn il.lumini el camí.
Em sembla un home humil, sencer, íntegre i, bàsicament, SAVI. Un savi que ha volgut ser important en el seu petit món i que ha donat la millor versió d’ell mateix. Un home com cal, com pocs!
La seva empatia, la seva generositat i la seva manera de mirar la vida em fan voler ser millor i em donen forces per seguir endavant i per somiar un altre món.
José Alberto «Pepe» Mujica Cordano (Montevideo, 20 de maig de 1935) és un agricultor i polític uruguaià, senador pel Front Ampli i va ser el 40è president de la República entre 2010 i 2015 en guanyar les eleccions presidencials del 2009.
La figura del president Mujica va despertar l'interès mundial per la seva excentricitat, el seu estil de vida humil i senzill i per haver renunciat al seu sou presidencial i destinar el 90% del seu salari a causes benèfiques. Conegut popularment com el «president més pobre del món», Mujica ha estat una figura d'inspiració per a altres polítics de l'àmbit internacional. Les seves propostes de legalització del matrimoni entre persones del mateix sexe, la despenalització de l'avortament, la legalització del consum i producció controlada del cànnabis i l'acceptació de convictes de Guantánamo no han passat desapercebudes i alguns mitjans de comunicació i de premsa com a “The Economist” van nomenar l'Uruguai com al país de l'any 2013.

In these times that we live in, someone who tells the truth makes you feel good, positive and basically real. Utopias help us to survive but realities make us think things differently and make us better. And when I listen to this gentleman all that matters seems to be put in one place, all the pulses are attracted and the energy that comes out lights the way.
He seems to me to be a humble, whole, integral and, basically, WISE man. A wise man who has wanted to be important in his small world and who has given the best version of himself. A proper man, like few others!
His empathy, his generosity and his way of looking at life make me want to be better and give me the strength to go on and dream of another world.
José Alberto "Pepe" Mujica Cordano (Montevideo, 20 May 1935) is a Uruguayan farmer and politician, Senator for the Frente Amplio and was the 40th President of the Republic between 2010 and 2015 when he won the 2009 presidential elections.
The figure of President Mujica aroused world interest because of his eccentricity, his humble and simple lifestyle and because he gave up his presidential salary and allocated 90% of his salary to charitable causes. Popularly known as the "world's poorest president", Mujica has been an inspiration to other politicians in the international arena. His proposals to legalize same-sex marriage, decriminalize abortion, legalize controlled cannabis use and production, and accept Guantanamo convicts have not gone unnoticed and some media and press outlets such as “The Economist” named Uruguay as the country of 2013.
